Sheltering In Place with God
While the world’s authorities strategies for wisdom and cautionary measures to “stay in place” and to practice “social distancing” for the realities of our days….
God’s Word offers us HOPE IN HIS INVITATION and REMINDER to experience a SPIRITUAL phenomenon of SHELTERING IN PLACE……. A call to draw closer HIM….
God Is Our Very Present Help
THE WORLD, as most of us knew it just a few months ago, is changing dramatically with each passing moment, especially with the pandemic onset of the Corona virus invasion across our world’s landscape
Purposefully Balanced
A purposeful life does not happen by random probability. To experience our best life as God intended, we must be intentional in our pursuit of being purposefully balanced in four key life domains . . . spiritual, emotional, physical and financial.
Living A Balanced Life
Life balance is a word that takes on different shades of meaning to a lot of people. Just like riding a bicycle for the first time with the safely net of training wheels, life’s challenges us to find the best balance among our first attempts of unsteady and often shaky pathways. Each challenge serves as a teachable moment that reminds us that we are not self-sufficient. The Holy Spirit affords us the much needed stability to be able to consistently maintain the right posture of balance to experience God’s best life for us.
Pathway to Making the Right Choice
Making the right choices in life can sometimes appear like trying to solve a puzzle maze. The puzzle maze has traceable pathways from the starting and ending points in full view. Our real-life pathways are not so simple. We encounter many different untraceable pathways in our search for “how do I get from here to there.” However, our faith in Jesus serves as our spiritual highlighter for tracing the pathway to making the right choices in life.
The Powerful Privilege of Choice
Life is a matter of choices we make every day. God has given each of us the privilege of choice to accept or reject his best plans and purpose for our lives. Our gift of choice is accompanied by personal responsibility and accountability. When we exercise our spiritual privilege of choice, we are empowered to succeed in living our best life.
Just Ask in The Name of Jesus
Over our lifetime, we ask literally millions of questions of ourselves, others and even God. The true power is not in our ability to ask the right question, at the right time but is found in the authority of the name by which we ask. Our motive for asking God for anything is often tied to personal desires that we seek to fulfill. However, the Word tells us that the right motive behind our asking God anything must be to bring glory to Jesus name no matter how big or small the question.
When Less is More
Pessimist or optimist? Is your life glass half full or half empty? Meaningful personal growth requires releasing our faith for embracing the “less of me” and “more of God” life journey. To make room for more, some lesser things must first be evicted from our lives. The less we hold onto our comfort zones of familiarity, the more we grow in our capacity for the experiential power of God in our lives. Get ready to transform your life’s empty places into God’s spacious place.
Giving God the Best You
Part 3
It’s time for a spiritual wardrobe makeover. Today, God personally invites each of us to His royal dressing room to transform the flawed interwoven threads of our lives into beautifully adorned garments of praise and worship. Through His redemptive sanctification by grace, God takes the imperfections of our faith life garments and performs a spiritual wardrobe makeover. Today, we can stand in renewed faith in our chosen places of royalty, having been gracefully adorned in holy reverence to God for such a time as this.
Giving God the Best You
Part 2
God has purposed each of us for a life of prosperity through divinely ordained appointments. Our biblical role model Esther is a protégé of a rag to riches testimony of divine appointment by submitting to becoming a living sacrifice. Like Esther, we must commit to say yes to God and no to our feelings of being unqualified for the path before us. Our ‘only acceptable worship” is to offer our selves completely to God as an instrument of service before a watching world.
Giving God the Best You
Part 1
God lovingly knows the layers of our lives…the good, the bad and the ugly. Natural brides sometime go through such extreme makeovers until the anxiously awaiting bridegroom may barely recognize them. Thankfully, God does not expect a perfectly adorned bride at his altar of sacrifice. God’s spiritual makeover is grace. By His grace, we are transformed from the inside out.
This I Know
The world’s culture influences us to think that we are empowered by what we know. God’s kingdom culture promises us that our true power can only be found in His one stop place for truth…the word of God. Our knowledge of God, his will for our lives and who we are in Him empowers us to as purposed by design.
It’s Time to De-Clutter Your Life!
God has intentionally established kingdom-ordered steps for each of us to take along our faith journey. To captivate on the orderly purposes of God, it’s essential to trade-in things that may crowd-out our faith for the visions and dreams of a life purposed by design. It’s time to de-clutter our natural and spiritual space to make room for God’s intended best. Let’s go for a clutter-free faith zone.
It’s Harvest Time
As believers, we were created to plant seeds of faith in good soil in all seasons of life. The Word of God’s instruct us to be intentional about what, where and how we plant our seeds in expectancy of a bountiful harvest. As we labor, we may experience feelings of uncertainty of the proximity and duration of our harvest season. Thankfully, no matter how long the planting and waiting seasons, we can be confident of our Heavenly Father’s faithfulness to richly reward our expectancy of a bountiful harvest from His heavenly storehouse.
Just Wait and See
Our life journey often seems like a never-ending cycle of “hurry up and wait” seasons. Waiting is a natural part of every person’s life, yet it is still one of human beings least favorite 7-lettered words. Waiting costs, us something: life frustration debits or life transformation credits. The good news is that waiting on God pays great dividends as He unveils his 3 Ps for our daily faith walk…. purpose, promises and power.
Having Faith To Be Me
In today’s society, we are at an alarming rate of being at risk for identity theft. While the risk of our identity being stolen is not desirable by anyone, not knowing our true identity in Christ is the greatest threat we will ever face. As believers in Jesus Christ, knowledge is power. Our true identity is found in knowing that God created us as one of a kind jewels that cannot be imitated. Our kingdom identity cannot be stolen unless we decide to forfeit our rights as children of God.
God’s Faith-Backed Promises
In today’s world, we can be “insured“ for protection against almost any type of potential losses (e.g. homes, cars, health, life). However, even the world’s best good faith insurance plans often come with limited liability provisions. The greatest “protection plan” we can have is not insurance, but is actually found in the assurances of our faith in God’s covenant promises for every aspect of our lives.
The Equity of Grace in God’s Labor Market
We each have a uniquely ordered role in God’s manifestation of his dominion power of grace in the world that we live and work. Our spiritual rewards of faith and favor are not based on a competitive scale but rather a grace scale. When we accept His offer by faith to labor for His kingdom purposes, it will not matter if we have labored from the first hour or the eleventh hour. He will reward us according to his spiritual pay scale of grace not the order of hire.
When I Grow Up . . .
One of the most common questions that we ask ourselves across our life span is “what do I want to be when I grow up?” While we may not say those exact words, from childhood to adulthood, humans are born with an innate search button for one’s true life meaning and purpose. The good news revealed in Psalm 139 assures us that we can grow in our realization and trust of the Master Potter’s plan and purpose for our lives.
Get Out of The Boat!
God desires that each person fully realizes the life he has purposed despite our natural encounters with seemingly impossible challenges. Just like Peter, being called to get out of the boat and to obey Jesus’ voice, we too are invited to have a “get out of the boat” level of faith. As we answer His call, we must choose to obey His voice, follow His instructions and to keep our eyes focused on the path ahead. God’s divine intervention intersects with our supernatural steps of faith to make all things become possible.
Launching Out Into the Deep:
Power of Nevertheless Faith
Life presents each of us with many opportunities to push outside our daily comfort zone of familiarity into deeper places of uncharted territory in pursuit of greater gains in life. Today, God invites us to trust His voice and to answer the call to go deeper in our life pursuits in face of seemingly unexpected results. We are challenged to avoid positions of stagnation but to rather choose to intentionally launch out into deeper places of life by activating our faith to win at life vs. to live in fear of the unknown.
